For over two decades, Jim has assisted business owners to run better businesses.
Jim grew up working in the family business and has owned and operated several business. So, he knows the practical end of things.
Jim also earned an MBA from Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University, where he worked his way through school by managing the graduate school computer facility, working in the career development office, and continuing to serve EMC2 clients. Jim completed 50% more courses than were required for a master’s degree, leading to a quadruple emphasis including organizational development, finance, accounting and marketing. He graduated with honors, earning a MBA, and was featured in Oregon Business Magazine as one of Oregon’s top business students. So, he also knows the theoretical end of things.
That is why Jim has a record of doing great things with business owners – combing a little good theory with practicality.
Jim Entler is the Director of the Small Business Management Program at Clatsop Community College, and the owner of EMC2 Consulting (pronounced: E-M-C Squared). Jim served as a member of the Board of Directors for the SBM-CEO (Small Business Management Counselors and Educators Organization), is a past President of the Northwest Association of Small Business Management Instructors, a past Vice President of the Small Business Division of USASBE (United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship), and was a recipient of the NISOD (National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development) Teaching Excellence Award.
